Make your entity unmistakable
- Use one consistent name + one-line description everywhere (site, profiles, bylines).
- Write a plain About page that states what you do and what you’re known for.
- Add Person / Organization JSON-LD schema on your key pages.
- Link your real profiles with sameAs and rel="me".
- Gut check: could a stranger read three of your pages and name your one area of authority?

Write quotable, extractable content
- Open every section with a self-contained answer a model could lift verbatim.
- Put the key definition, number or claim in the first third of the page.
- Phrase headings as the questions people actually ask.
- Use short paragraphs, lists and a real FAQ block.

Earn third-party mentions (highest leverage)
- List the “best X” and “X alternatives” roundups that already rank in your niche.
- Get honestly considered for inclusion in them (better product, missing data, quotable note).
- Show up usefully where buyers compare notes — communities, forums, Q&A threads.
- Publish an original stat or strong opinion a reviewer can lift and attribute to you.

Add structured signals — with honest expectations
- Add Article / FAQ / Product / Breadcrumb schema where it fits.
- Keep a clean, logical heading hierarchy (one h1, ordered h2/h3).
- llms.txt is optional: cheap to add, but don’t expect it to move AI citations.

Keep it fresh
- Show a real “last updated” date on evergreen pages.
- Refresh the facts and pricing — not just the date.
- Use current-year framing for time-sensitive pieces.

Measure whether it’s working
- Write down the 10–20 prompts a real buyer would ask in your niche.
- Ask them in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode; note if and how you appear.
- Log which competitors’ pages get cited instead — that’s your to-do list.
- Automate with a GEO / AI-visibility tool once manual checking gets tedious.
