Yoga became so fancy lately, people who are sad tends to find solutions becoming a yogi, I am very respectful for the theories that are behind the yoga but I don't think that anyone in the occidental world can be considered as a real yogi and can not fully understand its power. I think that yoga is an entire lifestyle not just a practice and will never be compatible with our culture, we can get closer but we will be always practitioners of something deep and never be part of this BIG power to the full.
Instead, Meditation done in the right way can be a source of new energy and new brain cells formation. The concept that applies to the meditation is very simple but very hard to put in practice.
TRY TO CLEAR YOUR MIND AND HAVE ZERO THOUGHTS
This is the concept and if you ever will try to go in an isolated and silent place alone and just trying to put your mind into a state of zero thoughts you will start to experience actually pain and fatigue. There is always a stupid monkey roaming thoughts into your head and a stupid thought passing by, being able to spend even 1-2-3- 5 or 10 minutes a day meditating or → not thinking or visualizing anything in your mind is the fastest way to expand your mind powers and feel better.
I ADVICE YOU JUST TO SIT ON A COMFORTABLE CHAIR AND STARTING TO DO 5 SECONDS OF "ZERO THINKING" AND REPEAT THAT UNTIL YOU ARE AT THE " ZERO THINKING STATE" FOR REAL.
WHEN YOU START TO BE SURE THAT You're ABLE TO SPEND 5 SECONDS WITHOUT THOUGHTS, PASS TO 10 SECONDS AND SO ON....
